The first Monday of the school year needed a song with a lot of energy. Katrina & The Waves delivers the needed beat to get going early on a Monday morning.
About the song choice: Soon after I met Lisa, I downloaded this song as my ringtone for her calls. Sunshine was one of my nicknames for her, as hearing from her made me feel good.
Dad note: If you are looking at a calendar, you’re probably asking what happened to the song on August 15? Didn’t Zoe go to school that day? Yes she did! I did go to her door early that morning and through the door I asked if she wanted a song. What I heard sounded like a no. What she said was a yes. Once we worked through the confusion later that day, it was agreed I would do a song each day, and hence this project was born.
