Today was Senior Sunrise, where the entire senior class was to meet on the football field to watch the sunrise. Sounds beautiful, right? Until you realize that means getting up at 3:45 AM to have time to get ready for the day. Trust me, I was questioning my commitment (pun intended!) to this project that morning.
About the song choice: In The Midnight Hour is an incredible song by Wilson Pickett. However, I chose the version from the 1991 movie The Commitments, a movie that you need to go back and watch again. If you are not familiar with it, the premise is that an Irish band proclaims itself to be the Saviors of Soul. The soundtrack is amazing, even if you can’t find the movie on your preferred streaming platform.
