We finally made it to Friday, so it must be a Beach Boys song. But their entire catalog seems to be an ode to summer. So many to choose from, but let’s go with one that has summer in the title to wrap up the End of Summer week at Senior Soundtrack.
About the song choice: So in 1973, George Lucas released his film American Graffiti, set in the summer of 1962. All of the songs but one on the soundtrack were all released prior to 1962 when the movie is set. The lone exception? All Summer Long, which plays over the closing credits and signals a change in America and it’s music.
