Before Alex Warren, Zoe’s musical choice was Dean Lewis. And before Dean Lewis, Zoe’s musical choice was One Direction. She was all about 1D, with the backpack and the posters and the t-shirts. She got to see One Direction at Arrowhead. And then they broke up. It was a sad day in McMullen house when 1D went in different directions.
About the song choice: As much as we want to say that 1D was a manufactured group with manufactured music, they still were able to perform the music and sell it. I can see their appeal, even if they are not in my playlist.
