September 29 – Mickey

Let’s get the new week started with a hit song from the early days of MTV. Back when the M meant Music and not Mindless. I think Zoe was aware of the song, but maybe not this version of the song. Seems like every good song from the 1980s has been re-recorded and represented in a Disney Channel original movie.

About the song choice: This song and video gets me every time when I start trying to do the math. Toni Basil was 38 when the video was recorded/released. Thirty. Eight. She didn’t look 38 in the video. So now when I do the math and realize that today, she is 82… mind blown.
