October 6 – Elizabeth Taylor

So someone related to me by birth could not believe that I wouldn’t play a new song from the Taylor Swift album last Friday. I have been reminded all weekend long about the importance of this album which has been publicly available for all of three days as we wake up today.

About the song choice: First, as a Dad, there are a few songs on this album that I don’t feel comfortable listening to with my daughter in the same room/house/zip code/time zone. So don’t expect Wood to be a wake-up song anytime soon.

Second, much to Zoe’s surprise, yes, Elizabeth Taylor was a real person. She was a famous movie star, a true Giant of her times, and whose favorite hobby appears to have been getting married.
