October 9 – Sweet Child O’ Mine

I’m feeling a little bamboozled this week. Zoe does not have school tomorrow. In fact, she reiterated multiple times that she wanted to sleep in, and I was not to come wake her up with a song. “But…. but…. what about Beach Boys Fridays?!?!?” Looks like I will be listening to the boys from Hawthorne, CA, on my own tomorrow.

About the song choice: This song came up from another Internet rabbit hole. I stumbled across a slowed down version of this song by Guns N Roses being performed as a lullaby, and I immediately thought about the Sheryl Crow version of Sweet Child O’ Mine. I’ve been a big fan of Crow since her debut album, Tuesday Night Music Club.
