Another five-day week accomplished. Why are five day weeks so rare in schools these days? I don’t think Zoe fully understands what it was like growing up in the 1970s and 1980s when we had to go to school eight days a week, walking uphill both ways. Heck, even when we had that occasional snow day, my Mom would still drop us off at school anyway.
About the song choice: This is one of my favorite songs to hear performed live by the Beach Boys, as it can go in so many different directions, depending upon the band. It can be played straight through like you hear on the album, or it can meander along, adding in interludes and opportunities to showcase the band.
