Big credit to Mom for this recommendation. We were batting around suggestions for songs to play this week. Of course, she recommended some of the songs from Grease. I gently reminded her that that is a musical set in the 1950s and it was released in the late 1970s. So then Lisa went to her next favorite movie, Top Gun. “Gonna take it right into the danger zone” – it’s a line from the song and it also describes the trepidation each morning as I go into Zoe’s room to wake her with a song.
About the song choice: Kenny Loggins has such a diverse catalog of hits, in addition to his collection of hits with Jim Messina during the 1970s. I’m sure his concerts are a roller coaster ride between movie anthems and mellow ballads.
