November 19 – Take On Me

Halfway to the weekend, moving quickly through the month. Probably feeling a little sentimental (or maybe I am just old) with my birthday yesterday. But I am feeling lucky to be doing this with Zoe. As Zoe has grown up and developed her own hobbies and her own likes or dislikes, it’s been challenging to find something to connect us together. But sharing music like this has definitely been a reward for me in her senior year.

About the song choice: Yesterday’s song choice of Africa may be my favorite song from the 1980s. But a-ha’s music video for Take On Me is the definitive music video of the decade. This so screams MTV and mid-1980s culture, and I love every second of it.
