You know by now, Beach Boys Friday is my favorite day of the week. But the Beach Boys only had a few popular releases in the 1980s, right? This one came from their “Made in the USA” greatest hits album, which I referenced last week.
About the song choice: The stars are in alignment for me this week. The first half of the final season of Stranger Things just dropped. In one of the prior seasons, one of the Stranger Things episodes kicked off with this song. I heard all of two notes from the opening before I excitedly started sharing with my family that it was the Beach Boys cover of the song.
